Butyl primary sealant for foam spacer
IGK 511 S is a one-component, thermoplastic, solvent-free, UV-stable sealant based on polyisobutylene that was developed exclusively for the primary sealing of insulating glass panes with flexible structural foam spacers.
It can be extruded particularly thinly and has reduced adhesion to stainless steel. This offers an advantage in the production process compared to the classic IGK 511. IGK 511 S is naturally characterized by very high adhesive properties and tightness and adheres excellently to glass and structural foam spacers.
